LegalPrivacy and terms
What data this site collects, what for, and what you can expect from us.

Who runs this site
Yungas tucumanas is an independent project by Ben P Jones, built with Modulo Studio (modulostudio.pro). It does not belong to or represent any public body, university or organisation. For any question about these matters write to info@yungastucumanas.org.
What data we collect
Only what you send us. If you subscribe: your name, email, chosen language and the date. If you use the contact form: your name, email and message. The forms on Important information (injured wildlife, keeping, sightings) are not ours: they lead to Google forms run by the wildlife authority, which receives that data.
What we use it for
To reply to you and, if you subscribed, to tell you about site updates. We do not sell or share your data, run advertising or build profiles.
Where it is stored
In files on the site’s server, outside the public folder where possible. We do not store your IP address; to stop mass submissions an anonymous fingerprint is used and deleted within minutes. Contact messages also reach our email.
Cookies and third parties
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which pages they read. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit; we do not use it to identify you. You can block it in your browser settings or with an extension. The site also stores your language and light/dark choices in your browser, on your device only. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you open a page. External links (Google forms, agencies, sources) have their own policies.
Voluntary contributions
If you choose to contribute, you do it on Cafecito (cafecito.app), an external service with its own terms and privacy policy. This site does not see or store your payment details. Contributing is optional and does not change access to the content.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or to unsubscribe from updates, by writing to info@yungastucumanas.org. Argentina’s Personal Data Protection Law 25,326 recognises those rights; its enforcement body is the Agency for Access to Public Information.
Use of the content
The illustrations, texts and design of the site belong to the project. You may share links and quote excerpts with credit. To reproduce plates or full texts, or to use them in commercial materials, ask us for permission by email.
Information and liability
The atlas is public education, not advice. It has not yet been reviewed by specialists and may contain errors. Do not use it as your only source for safety, health, legal or travel decisions: confirm with the relevant authority. We are not liable for damage arising from use of the information, external links or visits to places mentioned.
Changes
We may update this page; the date above shows the latest version.
