Meanwhile, with common sense
- Keep your distance and do not touch it: a frightened animal can bite, scratch or pass on diseases.
- Do not feed it or give it water, and do not take it home. Note where it is and take a photo from a distance.
- If you can, keep dogs, cats and children away until help arrives.
- A report about keeping or selling wildlife can be anonymous: you do not have to give your name.
These tips are general and do not come from the official leaflet. In an emergency that puts people at risk, call your local emergency services.
Who made this page
I’m Ben. I’m British and I’ve lived in Tucumán for twelve years. In all that time the province has never stopped surprising me: its mountains, its cloud forest, its birds. I made this atlas because I think a lot of people, locals and visitors alike, still don’t know how extraordinary its nature is. I’m a graphic and motion designer, which is why the site is so visual: every plate, map and animation is made so the forest can be understood at a glance. If exploring it makes you want to go and walk the Yungas, it has done its job.
This website is completely independent. Its only aim is to promote Tucumán to the world.
